Coming into the tournament Cote d'Ivoire were red hot favourites featuring an array of Europe based stars such as Didier Drogba, The Toure brothers Yaya and Kolo, Aruna Didane, amongst others much was expected from them, and they did deliver until they met the formidable Egyptian team in the Semi-finals and that match proved to be a step too far.
