Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma saw sworn on Saturday as the fourth President of a democratic South Africa. The ceremony was witnessed by over 50,000 members of the public as well as dignitaries from across Africa and the world.

Jacob Zuma follows in the footsteps of Nelson Mandela, Thabo Mbeki and Kgalema Motlanthe and democratically elected Presidents of South Africa following on from the collapse of the previously ruling Apartheid regime in 1984.
