Since his was deposed, supporters of Marc Ravalomanana have launched into daily demonstrations calling for his return. These demonstrations entered a new and uglier phase on Sunday as police used force to disperse the protestors leaving over thirty people injured including several that were shot.
The fledgling government of Andry Rajoelina is finding the going tough as not only does it have to contend with these demonstrations, but also a fight back from the ex-President as well as looming sanctions from the international committee.
In Swaziland, Marc Ravalomanana has vowed to make a speed return to power while Madagascar’s major trading partner, France, has said that it still considers Ravalomanana as the President of Madagascar.
