British Airways flight BA 82 bound for London Heathrow made an emergency landing in northern Nigeria on Saturday night with one of its engines in flames, the Punch Newspaper reported Sunday.

The BA Boeing 777 had taken off from the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja with 155 people on board when the crew detected smoke coming from one of the engines, according to the media consultant to BA in Nigeria . The pilot decided to make an emergency landing at the nearest airport, Kano.

Nobody was injured and the passengers are to be taken back to Abuja.
