Finland’s former President Marti Ahtisaari was the deserved recipient of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. The Finn won the accolade in acknowledgement of his work in crisis resolution through mediation in Kosovo, Iraq, Northern Ireland, Central Asia and Somalia.

The prize was awarded at Oslo City Hall in the Norwegian capital on Wednesday. The award ceremony was then followed by a glittering concert graced Diana Ross, Dierks Bentley, Julian Venegas and Seun Kuti.

Arguably the highlight of the ceremony for us at ClickAfrique was the performance by Seun Kuti, heir to the Afro beat legacy of his father the late and legendary Nigerian musician Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Needless to say he delivered a five star performance as the video clip shows.
