Nollywood lovers in the Ugandan capital Kampala are agog as two of Nigeria’s hottest movie stars are to jet in to grace the Ugandan film awards. Ramsey Nouah and Genevieve Nnaji are the star attractions of the event organised by the Ugandan Federation of Movie Industry.

Highlights of their visit to Uganda which starts on November 20 will be a VIP dinner at the Spectrum Restaurant located in Kampala’s magnificent 800 seater Theatre La Bonita located on Colvile Road. This will be followed by attendance at the glittering Film Award show to be hosted at the National Theatre Kampala and the next day Genevieve and Ramsey will grace a “meet the stars” at the idyllic Ggaba Beach on the shores of Lake Victoria .

The Ugandan Film Awards have been set up to reward Ugandan talent in the film industry among those nominted for honours include Mariam Ndagire’s Down This Road I Walk which picked one nomination for film of the year, other nominiations include Ashraf Simwogerere’s Murder in the City , George Sengendo’s Nabadda , Joseph Busulwa Mabirizi’s Standing Alone, Henry Mayanja Kanyike’s Omukazi muka Ssebo, Hussain Kagolo’s Abakyala Bagala ki and Osman Matovu’s Ensisinkano y’ebizibu.
