Indonesian authorities announced that two Nigerians convicted of smuggling heroin were executed by firing squad on Friday night. The two, Samuel Okoye and Hansen Nwaolisa had already spent seven years in jail before their execution yesterday.

Indonesia’s anti-Narcotic agency was said to have timed the executions to mark the United Nations anti-drugs day.
