Girls Gone Wild may be a popular albeit controversial entertainment franchise in the USA, but on the outskirts of Tsavo National Park in Kenya they had there own variant, albeit with a particular local flavour.

A herd of 30 elephants escaped from the park and proceeded to wreck havoc through the farms and villages that bordered the park.

It took the intervention of the Kenyan Wildlife Services employing helicopters to finally round up all the rampaging elephants

The Tsavo National Park in the southwest of Kenya is the country's largest and is approximately the size of Wales. The park is home to more than 8000 elephants and third of the Kenyan population.
